In class today we discussed a journal on creativity and then began a video on the life of Leonardo da Vinci. I will post the link to the YouTube source of this video once I am back home since it is blocked here at school.

Today was a busy day in class. We discussed a journal topic, read section 1 of chapter 17, worked on our toolkits and our homework is vocab/Italy map.

2/23/2012

Today we graded INB's in class. We began a new unit called the Renaissance with an introductory PPT. We created a unit cover page and our homework was to complete Level 9 of the levels project by Monday, February 27.

2/21/2012

INB's are due this Thursday and grade sheets were given out today. It is worth 80 points and is very important. We took our last notes for the Medieval Europe unit titled "reconquista notes." We also watched a BrainPop video that discussed the Black Death. Level 8 is our homework and can be found in the file cabinet link.

Today in class we took our second quiz of the semester. We then worked on a worksheet that will be level 7 in the Levels Project. You can find that worksheet if you were absent in the file cabinet. After that we discussed the due date for the INB next week and also discussed progress report grades that are being turned in soon.

Today was an unusual day because of our field trip to College of the Canyons. Since period 4 was not in class today, periods 5 and 6 did an activity where they had to create a short skit using vocabulary and other key terms. We also discussed the upcoming quiz on Wednesday.

Today we discussed the topic of Chivalry and how it pertained to Medieval Knights and even to today. We talked about our upcoming trip to COC. We covered the topic of the Crusades in a PPT and our homework is Level 6 which is due Monday, February 13.

Today in class we read Chapter 15 Section 2 and discussed the importance of the Magna Carta. We did a 5-4-3-2-1 assignment as in class work and it will be page 8 in the INB. Our homework was to complete Level 5 of the Levels Project.

Today in class we took the Chapter 14 Quiz. If you were absent I will set up a make up day for you during sometime next week. After that, we continued working on the Feudalism Illustrated Similes and turned them in during class. Lastly, we read about Pope Gregory and King Henry and answered the questions below the reading. This assignment counts as level four of the Levels Project. If you finished answering the questions there is no homework this weekend.

Today in class we took notes on the medieval system of Feudalism and we watched a video on life in Medieval Europe. After that we started a group assignment creating a Feudalism Simile. The homework for today was to complete level three of the Levels Project.
